Byrne is the unofficial (self-proclaimed) president of the Duke University Basketball fan club, Appalachian Trail thru-hiker ('18) and owner of Golf Cart Outlet and Burning Lake Trading Co.

In 1999  Byrne with his father, Don Stocks, co-created the Street Car™, the world’s first street legal golf cart and has become one of the leading experts in the industry.

Ronnie Stocks co-founded Golf Cart Outlet in 1999 after an extensive career as aircraft mechanics technician, leveraging his mechanical and electrical expertise. When he's not cheering on the UNC Tarheels you'll find him at the beach or on a boat. 

Lake is an NC bbq and craft beer loving graphic designer. When she's not carpooling kids or listening to Byrne's endless stories about golf carts she is the CCO and Principal of Prim Marketing Group.

In 1999 Don created the Street Car and opened Golf Cart Outlet providing local beach goers with a safe and convenient way to travel from their cottages to the strand. Retiring in 2023 and shifting to advisor; he's spending most days catching up with friends and family or on his dock with his grandkids.
